9|9|05Happy (extremely belated) Father's Day and 45th birthday, JT! Geez, this year has been just about as wild as the last. There, of course, has been a dearth of JT solo news since our man is now entrenched in not only the new menswear line for Juicy Couture, but also touring extensively with that band we like to call Duran Duran. It's a beautiful thing, because as we know, John loves nothing more than to have the chance to shine on stage. Good on you, our good man. Many excellent photos have been captured. In fact, our good friend Teajay P. took a massive amount of film on her "Duran Tour 2005," and has her photos uploaded on her site TeajayPhoto.com.

October 12, 2004 saw the release of Duran Duran's first effort with all original members since 1985, "Astronaut" and they've been touring behind it since before its release, and practically non-stop after its release. Pretty soon, all 5 men are on their way into the studio to write and produce their next full-length gem. Keep up the good work, fellas. An in-depth biography on Duran Duran titled "Duran Duran: Notorious - An Unauthorised Biography" by Q Magazine contributor Steve Malins is on its way to book shops (release was Sept. 5 for UK and Sept. 30 for the US, but there were some delays). There's a contest to win a signed copy of said biography on RememberTheEighties.com.

6|20|04Happy Father's Day and 44th birthday, JT! This year has been a bit hectic outside of the site, hence the lack of updates. (Sorry! Looks like we only just put the December holiday decorations away.) But, JT has been touring and recording new material for the upcoming Duran Duran album that's now slated for release on Epic Records in October! What excellent news! We've done our annual birthday greetings on the message board this year, in this thread, titled "BassGod's Official 'Happy Birthday JT' thread." If you're an ezboard member, please feel free to add your birthday greetings there for John. Also, check TTP for updates today! There's always an awesome temporary birthday page and a special message to us zany fans from the man himself!

3|6|04Finally, it's time to put JT Claus back into the attic. He was fun while he lasted, but things got hectic, and we, unfortunately fell into the "people who keep their holiday decorations up too long" category. Oops! Anyway, I just updated with a new splash page and new image above, and have fixed some of the links page. Keep checking TTP and duranduran.com for the most up to date info. I am working on a redesign of this site, but I can't promise when it'll happen. Hope everyone had a great New Years and eventful Valentine's Day. I did an "anti-Valentine's" show that night, and it seemed to be well-received. :) No new news from me for now. Oh! Check out Bravo's detective series "Keen Eddie!" This week's episode featured lots of Duran references and music. Check Bravo's Keen Eddie Page for repeat times, as it's repeating on Sunday and Wednesday. The episode was called "Citizen Cecil." The story involves robbers w/ Duran Duran masks (apparently the band had to give licensing permission for the show to use them). Thank you to a dd.com message board member for the info.

Keep checking back for more exciting stuff!

12|17|03Gadzooks! We're so far behind in our TTP Updates, you're going to have to go straight to the source itself! There are tons of live photos and all kinds of great information over there.

1|27|03From the TTP Newsletter: James Angell will be playing another show on Friday, March 14 at the Aladdin Theater in Portland, and JT will be present once again on bass. More details to follow at TTP. For those who are wondering, why James Angell, what is this connection all about?

JT says, "The record came at me with a dozen other CDs, with no cover or anything. I had no pre-conceived ideas and thought what the hell is this? I just felt the album deserved an audience and right now, I'm hungry for music that makes me cry. It's powerful, like a love affair.

A few weeks later I caught James in concert in New York and was amazed by his show. It reminded me of Elton John performing "Tiny Dancer" on the Old Grey Whistle Test, early on in his career. You just knew big things would happen."

I will be involved and available to perform with James when my schedule allows. I'm just happy to be a part of this at the moment."

Also, in the news briefs on the 'latest' is updated news on JT's collaboration with jazz saxophonist Mindi Abair, including a photo of the two.
